Composition - Completed Projects

Apart from writing the music for car launches and the television series SOUTMANSLAND, Janine won the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best Contribution to a Musical or Revue for her musical direction of VERE in 2001, which she co-wrote with Deon Opperman.

She wrote the music for the plays BIRDY, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE, DEATH OF A SALESMAN and ALTYD JONKER - winner of the 2006 Absa KKNK, the Kanna Award for 2006 (music theatre) and the Herrie-oscar for most popular production.

Janine and Prince Lengoasa wrote the music for the enthronement of the King of Bafokeng.

She was the only female composer commissioned to write music for the Opening Ceremony of the World Summit for Sustainable Development in 2002.

Current Projects

Zwai Bala, Deon Opperman and Janine are writing the music for a new South African musical called SOWETO STORY which will premiere at the Johannesburg Civic Mandela Theatre in March 2007. Bookings at Kalahari.net or Computicket.
