About Us

Soul Cottage Music is proud to say we have worked with the cream of South Africa's musicians, such as Steve Hofmeyr, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Sibongile Khumalo, Amanda Strydom, Zwai Bala, Gloria Bosman, Neo Muyanga, Dozi, Jannie Moolman and Chris Chameleon, to name but a few. We love good music, whatever the style.

The Soul Symphony Concept

We believe there is no style of music that cannot be performed by a full orchestra ...

Soul Cottage Music provided musical direction for the last four Huisgenoot SKOUSPEL concerts - arguably the biggest televised orchestral concerts in South Africa. The annual SKOUSPEL event was viewed live by 10 000 people in 2004 and by 25 000 in 2005, and the audience for 2006 is estimated to top 30 000.

Soul Cottage Music works with the masterful Peter McLea as orchestrator and legendary Graham Scott as conductor. We also work closely with the Johannesburg Music Initiative (JMI), a professional orchestra that boasts breathtakingly versatile young musicians from all South African communities.
